We made some Maori shapes inside a little plate. When we painted in glaze, it dried in seconds. We created a background by using a special tiny sponge on a stick. Then Ms Logan dipped it in clear glaze. Later Mrs Aislabie put them in the kiln (a type of oven). The shapes we copied were like a sponge.
